KVH to Offer Ethernet Platform for Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute
Tokyo, January 15, 2015 - KVH Co., Ltd., Asia’s leading Information Delivery Platform headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, today announced a new service called “etherXEN for Azure” that provides customers with a dedicated Ethernet network connection from their own IT infrastructure to Microsoft’s Azure cloud services.
This new service - a low-latency, highly reliable, bandwidth-guaranteed Ethernet connection for Microsoft Azure - allows enterprises to stretch their data centers and operate a seamless IT environment between their corporate networks and private on-premises or third-party data centers and the Azure cloud platform.
In response to escalating demand for hybrid cloud, etherXEN for Azure gives customers an alternative to the public Internet, with the performance and predictability that mission-critical workloads require. The service is delivered over KVH’s ultra low latency network and complements KVH’s own cloud solutions.
